x220 SSD Akkulaufzeit

Hallo,

nach dem Einbau einer Intel 520 120gb SSD in mein x220 (4290W1B),
sank die Akkulaufzeit von 5,5h auf gerade mal 3h (unter Ubuntu).

Am Stromverbrauch der SSD kann es nicht liegen, im Schnitt ist sie
sparsamer als die Hitachi.

Hi,

der Schwachpunkt bei der 520 ist imho der hohe Idle-Verbrauch von 0.9W (hab mich deshalb für eine Samsung 830 entschieden – die hat nur 0.3W). Was aber deinen Mehrverbrauch nicht erklärt. Mein X220 braucht insgesamt im Idle bei 70% Helligkeit ca. 7-8W.

TLP hast Du installiert? Dann zeig mal am Akku

Sorry aber das mit dem tp_smapi oder thinkwatt kriege ich nicht installiert. Habe nicht wirklich verstanden, wie ich das installiere.
 
Wie schaffst du es, dass der Lüfter nicht anspringt? Das klappt bei mir unter Ubuntu nie. :(
 
du installierst das paket tp-smapi-dkms übers paketmanagment.
für thinkwatt folgst du einfach der kurzanleitung, führst also die 3 genannten befehle im terminal aus. wenn du ein nettes diagramm haben möchtest, installierst du gnuplot übers paketmanagment
 
Die Ausgabe von tlp-stat sieht völlig OK aus.

Zur Messung mit thinkwatt: erstmal alle für thinkwatt notwendigen bzw. für TLP nützlichen Pakete nachinstallieren im Terminal

7.4W klingt doch ganz gut, nich? Hatte vor dem erstellen des Threads TLP nicht installiert. Wird wohl einfach daran gelegen haben oder?

Für 192 Zyklen finde ich das nicht ungewöhnlich. Die nächste Version von TLP wird auch für's X220 das Rekalibrieren des Akkus unterstützen. Kannst Du dann mal probieren.

Ohne TLP geht gar nicht ;).

Die Angabe in tlp-stat ist nur eine Momentaufnahme. Mach ruhig noch die Messung mit thinkwatt und hänge die png-Ausgabe hier an.
 
Das würde ich auch gern bei mir sehen. ;-)

Ich klinke mich mal in diesen etwas älteren Thread ein, da ich genau das selbe Problem habe. Vor Einbau der SSD (Crucial CT512M550SSD3) hatte ich bei ruhendem Desktop so ca. 7,8...8,5W. Mit SSD und HD in idle komme ich nicht mehr unter 9,5W. Wenn ich die "rotierende" Metall-Festplatte ausbaue, wird es auch nicht besser. Meine Hoffnung war, daß ich nach Einbau der SSD evtl. sogar noch Strom sparen könnte. Aber höherer Stromverbrauch ist nicht das, was ich mir wünsche.

An sich soll die Crucial M550 doch recht sparsam sein. Wo liegt meine Fehler?

Ich habe mich etwas an http://www.tomshardware.de/ssd-vergleichstest-performance-review-test,testberichte-241559-14.html orientiert. Es ist dort zwar nicht die sparsamste, aber würde an sich nicht den Unterschied erklären. Zumal die "traditionelle" Festplatte ja auch nicht mit 0W auskommt. Sie ist im Normalbetrieb vorher auch sehr selten in "Idle" gegangen.
 
Der Vergleich mit einer x-beliebigen HDD ist doch witzlos, wenn man sparsame SSDs sucht / vergleichen möchte ...

Ich komme mit einer Samsung 830 im X220 auf ca. 6,5W im Idle bei minimaler Helligkeit (mit Ubuntu 12.04, TLP-Defaults + RUNTIME_PM_ALL=1 und ohne weitere Zaubertricks).
