also hab a weng nachrechachiert. MTRON sagt folgendes:
Although Mtron SSD does not support AHCI mode officially, according to our test results, it shows some performance gain with AHCI mode “enabled.” It seems that supporting AHCI mode can boost up the performance. It does not affect on the lifetime of the product.
und
Officially, MTRON does not support AHCI mode. However, if you install SATA driver on south bridge Chipset which supports AHCI mode and select AHCI mode “Enabled,” it is possible to achieve over 10% of performance gain.
? How to set AHCI mode “enabled” ?
1. Install OS with IDE mode.
2. Upon completion of OS Installation, install SATA Driver.
(refer

3. Reboot and change IDE mode to AHCI mode “enabled” in BIOS.
Case: It takes about 20 minutes when installing vista with IDE mode but almost one hour with AHCI mode. Read Performance is about 75MB/s with IDE mode and 95MB/s with AHCI mode.
We tested OS installation on ASUS P5K-E/WiFi-AP mainboard and AMD mainboard with both IDE mode and AHCI mode. The result shows that the mainboard with AMD chipset is faster in installing OS than Intel chipset mainboard. Also, it actually took twice as much time to install OS with AHCI mode than with IDE mode.
Since XP does not support AHCI driver, you have to press F6 key during installation and use separately saved AHCI driver in the floppy disk to install AHCI driver to complete installation of OS. The most effective way to install OS with AHCI mode is to install OS with IDE mode, then install AHCI driver in Windows environment. Then you can change to AHCI mode in the BIOS while rebooting the system. It takes about 30 minutes less than installing OS with AHCI mode in the first place.
