Nachdem im Forum öfters nachgefragt wird, wie man Linux die Feinheiten des Stromsparens beibringt, habe ich mich vor einiger Zeit entschlossen, meine Skriptsammlung in eine allgemein benutzbare Form zu bringen. Das Ergebnis möchte ich Euch an dieser Stelle vorstellen.

Dokumentation ist auf der offiziellen Website https://linrunner.de/tlp/ zu finden (die Infos in unserem Wiki werden von mir nicht mehr gepflegt und sind veraltet).

Fragen und Probleme einfach hier im Thread posten.

Für die erste Analyse benötige ich bitte stets den kompletten Output von

Anmerkung: ich fordere oft in der weiteren Analyse Teilausgaben an - das sollt ihr jedoch nicht selbstständig tun! Immer zuerst die vollständige Ausgabe.

Kannst du vielleicht die Möglichkeit einpflegen, dass man die Stromspareinstellungen für die Soundkarte für Akku und Netz separat regeln kann?

Das wäre nicht schlecht, bei mir führt SOUND_POWER_SAVE bei externen Geräten die über HDMI angeschlossen sind zu einem knacksen. Komischerweise nicht bei allen, hat also irgendwas mit den HDMI Spezifikationen zu tun. Mfg kalibari

habe bisher tlp mit großem Erfolg genutzt. Nach dem letzten update (ich vermute, aufgefallen ist es mir erst jetzt) ist bei mir allerdings ein kleines Problem aufgetreten.

Der Befehl "sudo tlp fullcharge" hat ein direktes Abschalten des PCs zur folge, man kann im Terminal noch kurz erahnen dass die Ladeschwellen temporär neu gesetzt werden und schon ist die Kiste kommentarlos aus...

Was kann ich tun?

Was kann ich tun?
Der Akku ist defekt, da kannst Du nur austauschen. Herstellungsdatum 11/2008, wenig genutzt, kann vorkommen bei dem Alter.

So ein Fall wurde schon einmal berichtet. Auslöser ist das kurzzeitige "Ziehen" von force_discharge um die 96/100 sofort zu aktivieren. Die Funktionalität ist in TLP von Anbeginn exakt so implementiert und wurde mit 0.4 nicht geändert.

im TLP ist ja auch verankert, ob zb wifi oder bluetooth starten sollen. Nach meiner Meinung hab ich das korrekt eingestellt. aber das BT ist angeblich aus, sagt mir KDE, die LED aber brennt....und sudo tlp-stat sagt auch, das BT an ist...wie kann ich denn dafür sorgen, das BT wirklich aus ist beim Start?

ich kapier das i-wie nicht so ganz, wieso das jetzt nicht funktioniert...
 
mach mal die # vor dieser zeile weg und entferne "wifi":

bislang schaltest du lediglich wlan ein, aber bt wird nicht explizit abgeschaltet. somit hast du die zeile falsch interpretiert.
 
Meines Wissens gibt es kein passendes Paket für CentOS. Die Fedora-Pakete sind auf systemd ausgerichtet und dürften unter CentOS nicht laufen.

Die 3er kriegst Du relativ einfach noch unter unter CentOS zum laufen. Da fehlt eigentlich nur das init-Skript.
Für die 4er müsstest Du einiges mehr machen.

Hallo zusammen,
ich habe mein T410s mit Xubuntu 13.10 neu aufgesetzt. Beim starten habe ich das Problem, dass bei mir Bluetooth nicht ausgeschaltet wird.

Hier mal meine Beobachtung:
1. Rechner wird eingeschaltet --> Bluetooth ist an
2. Xubuntu startet mit autom. Login --> Bluetooth kurz aus
3. Oberfläche ist sichtbar --> Bluetooth wieder an

in Datei /usr/share/pyshared/blueman/plugins/applet/PowerManager.py folgendes einfügen:

Unter Arch und Manjaro habe ich das Problem, dass meine Ultrabay HDD nicht abschaltet, wenn sie für mehr als 30s nicht angesprochen wird.

Der entsprechende Auszug aus der /etc/default/tlp

@IBM_Thinkpad_T60: bei manchen Notebooks/Kerneln variert die Zuordung der beiden Platten zu den Devices sda, sdb. Das ist eine mögliche Ursache. Damit ich nicht jedes Detail einzeln abfragen muss, möchte ich bitte immer die vollständige Ausgabe von

Bei einer M4 geht übrigens ein APM-Level von 1 stark auf die Performance, ich würde dort APM eher abschalten (255) -> http://thinkwiki.de/TLP_FAQ#Warum_ist_meine_Crucial_M4_SSD_im_Akkubetrieb_so_langsam.3F

tp_smapi lädt auf *30er Modellen nicht mehr, daher gibt es keine Möglichkeit die Akkuzyklen auszulesen.

Stattdessen verwendet TLP automatisch tcpaci-bat für die Ladeschwellen, erweiterte Akkuinfos sind damit aber nicht möglich. Für tpacpi-bat brauchst Du in Arch das Paket acpi_call-git -> https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/TLP
