Eventuell schon, weil Du damit endlich von der HPA die Wiederherstellung starten kannst.

Rapid Restore Ultra 3.0 and prior versions are not compatible with
the Rescue and Recovery program. If you install the Rescue and
Recovery program and previous versions of Rapid Restore Ultra are
installed, then the Rescue and Recovery program prompts you to
uninstall any previous versions of Rapid Restore Ultra including all
backups made by prior versions of the program during installation of
the Rescue and Recovery program.
Also inkompatibel. Wenn Du R&R deinstallierst und Rapid Restore neu aufsetzt (oder ist es schon installiert gewesen?), dann könnte es klappen.
Wenn Dir der ganze Wiederherstellungskrams, also Windows mit vorinstallierten Treibern und IBM-Tools egal ist, dann kannst Du Dir auch eine XP-CD mit dem c't-Tool erstellen. Das ist wirklich einfach.
Wenn letzteres, dann hast Du hoffentlich einen XP-Key?
Ansonsten steht der auch in C:\I386\UNATTEND.TXT drin, Suche dort nach "ProductKey".
Nach erfolgter XP-Installation kannst Du Dir "System Update" von der Lenovo-Seite ziehen und den IBM-Stuff nachinstallieren. Geht auch.
Oder wenn Du schon eine XP-Installations-CD hast, dann kanst Du auch die benutzen und dort Deinen XP-Key verwenden. Das wäre noch einfacher.
