Hallo zusammen,
In meinem ersten Post habe ich gleich eine harte Nuss vor mir, ein P15 auf einem Debian 12, was einfach keinen externen Bildschirm an einer Docking Station anzeigen will. Da ich am Ende meines Linux-Lateins bin, versuche die Lage möglichst genau zu beschreiben, folgende Hardware ist gerade bei mir vorhanden:

Da ich am Ende meines Linux-Lateins bin, versuche die Lage möglichst genau zu beschreiben, folgende Hardware ist gerade bei mir vorhanden:
- ThinkPad P15 Gen.1 mit Debian 12 (20SU), frisch installiert.
- ThinkPad P52 mit Debian (20MA) ausgeliehen von Kollegen
- ThinkPad X380 Yoga mit Windows 10 (20LJ)
- ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Dock Gen. 2 (40AN)
- ThinkPad Hybrid USB-C with USB a Dock (40AF)
Hardware
Ich will das P15 mit dem 40AN Dock betreiben und das geht prinzipiell, ich bekomme LAN, USB und Spannungsversorgung, aber kein Bildschirm wird erkannt, also habe ich die Hardware angefangen zu testen:- P15 mit Dock 40AN: Kein Bild, alle USB-C Ports
- P15 mit Dock 40AF: Kein Bild, alle USB-C Ports
- X380 mit Dock 40AF: Mein üblicher Fall unter Windows: Geht alles
- X380 mit Dock 40AN: Geht alles. Hab sogar ein Firmware-Update des Dock über Windows gemacht.
- P52 mit Dock 40AN: Geht alles. Beide Bildschirme plus intern gehen an.
- P15 mit generischem 08/15-USB-C-Dock im Büro: Kein Bildschirm, aber USB und LAN
- P15 mit externem Bildschirm über internes HDMI: Geht!
Software
Ich bin ja nun schon länger bei Debian oder Ubuntu und habe die Standard-Lösungen schon durch:- Nouveau deinstalliert und den non-free NVidea-Treiber installiert, keine Änderung zu erkennen (Laut NvideaGUI Treiber Version 525.125.06)
- Hab im UEFI mal die Grafikkarte von Hybrid auf diskret umgestellt, keine Änderung
- Hab mal versucht bei angestecktem Dock mit
tbtmgr
undboltctl
irgendeine Info aus dem Dock zu bekommen. immer:no thunderbolt devices found
- Hab im UEFI die Thunderbolt Security ausgeschaltet, später auf USB+Display, keine Änderung
- Neuen Linux Kernel installiert, vorher 6.1.0-11, dann 6.4.0, keine Änderung, dafür keinen Sound, also wieder zurück auf 6.1.0
lspci
zeigt mit die gleichen Geräte an, egal ob mit oder ohne Dock- Mit
fwupdmgr
alleUpdates installiert, die ich gefunden habe - Display-Link Treiber installiert, brauche ich zumindest auf anderen Rechnern unter Debian für genrische Docking Stations im Büro. Keine Änderung.
