X2x (X20-24) X220: Haben Sie ghosting mit IPS?

Hallo,

entschuldigung für mein schlechte Deutsche (english wäre besser aber es ist eine deutsche forum)! Ich habe mir früher interessiert an der X220 mit IPS. Aber dann habe Ich alles gelesen über "image persistence", "ghosting" und "light bleeding" mit dieser bildschirm sodass Ich habe mein einkauf annuliert. Viele leute auf USA haben problemen mit dieser IPS bildschirm auf X220. Haben Sie dieselbe problemen in Deutschland? Haben Sie erfahrung mit X220 mit IPS verkauft bei campusdiscount.de?

Ja, auch hier gibt es dieses ghosting. Ich habe es bei meinem X220 T auch und hatte diesbezüglich hier im Forum gefragt. Es scheint wohl normal zu sein. Wenn das Bild zu lange angezeigt wurde,
sieht man es noch bis zur Minute lang weiter, aber nur auf dunklem Hintergrund, dann verschwindet es bei mir wieder. Nicht schön, angeblich geht aber nichts kaputt.

Mit campusdiscount.de habe ich keine Erfahrungen, aber mit campuspoint.de - netter Laden. Du kannst auch bei ok1.de bestellen - habe ich super Erfahrungen mit gemacht.

Yes, German notebooks also have this ghosting. I have it on my X220 T as well and asked the community here about it. It seems to be more or less normal. If a certain picture is displayed too long, it keeps on
being displayed for up to one minute, you can see it only on dark backgrounds, then it disappears. Not that nice, but allegedly nothing gets broken.

I do not have any experiences with campusdiscount.de, but with campuspoint.de - good shop. You can also order it on ok1.de - I have really good experiences with them.

Danke fur die Antwort (und english version!). Es ist ein grosse probleme fuer mich weil Ich brauche das laptop fuer coding (ganze tag mit fast die gleiche fenster geoffnet...). Ghosting nach ein paar stunden ist normal aber nicht nach 10-15 minuten.

Thanks. It's a big issue for me because I need the laptop to code all day long and I usually use the same windows layout for extended periods of time. It seems the IPS on X220 has image persistence after as low as 10-15 minutes. After some hours I guess it's normal but definitely not after a few minutes. Just hoped it was better in Germany but obviously it's the same everywhere...

Ja, ich denke, das ist dasselbe in Deutschland. Aber wenn du programmierst stört das ghosting eigentlich nicht, weil man es nur auf dunklem Hintergrund sieht. Wenn ich z.B. Visual Studio die ganze Zeit geöffnet habe, nehme ich das ghosting nicht war. Erst wenn ich das Fenster schließe und was mit einem dunklen Hintergrund öffne - dann fällt es mir auf.

Yeah, I guess, it is the same in Germany. But for coding it is not really a problem because you do not see the ghosting, because you only see it on dark background. E.g. when I leave Visual Studio open for serveral hours I do not perceive the ghosting. I only see it as soon as I close the windows and open up something with a dark background.

Ok dann ist es besser aber ein video auf youtube illustriet das ghosting mit chrome tabs auf blaues desktop: nicht so gut! Ich kann auch eine hellige desktop schauen aber warum dann brauche ich ips? Vielleicht sind tn panel besser fuer mich.
Haben sie auch "light bleeding" vom LED auf bildschirm?

Then it is better but I also saw a video on youtube showing pretty obvious image persistence of chrome tabs on the blue thinkpad desktop: that does not look good! I could probably use a white desktop background but it kinds of defeats the purpose of getting ips. Maybe a tn panel is just enougj (if not better) for me.
Do you also experience some light bleeding from the LED in the display?

Hey, i have a x220t here and till now i have only one time noticed the ghosting!
Only at boot-up at dark Background and full brightness! @ mid brightness it disappeared.
So, ghosting is present, but i've never seen it in a windows environment. I also have seen the video u described but on my machine its far far far away from that - till now ?

I think if it's so visible like in this video - u probably will get another display perhaps a outdoorscreen (without finger touch but know ghosting as far as i know.)

Perhaps u buy one and test it for a week in ur working environment, if it don fit ur needs then return it within the 14 days!

I observed this ghosting also on my x220 with ips panel, but one have to mention that this will disappear after a short time when using other windows/background. As far as I observed it, this ghosting is reversible. Therefore, it is not a big issue for me.
