X2xx/s (X200/s-260) X220: Core i7 + USB3 - Probleme mit mSATA SSD?!

Hallo Forum,

ich wurde von dem Händler meines Vertrauens informiert das es unmöglich ist die Intel 310 in ein X220 mit i7 einzubauen. Sie wird einfach nicht vom Bios erkannt. Ich habe das Problem schon hier dokumentiert, und es scheint grundsätzlich zu funktionieren, zumindest mit Geräten aus den USA.

Meine Frage: hat jemand ein funktionierendes (europäisches) X220 mit i7, USB3 und Intel 310?

Not all the X220 are not compatible with mSATA SSD. Cos X22O have i5/i7 different CPU NO.

Ich vermute ja, dass Lenovo eine mSATA Whitelist im BIOS implementiert hat. Im Lenovo-Forum häufen sich die 310er SSDs mit Suffix C1, die nicht erkannt werden. Die Modelle ohne C1 scheinen wohl größtenteils problemlos zu laufen ...

Es kündigt sich eine Lösung an:

This will be fixed with a BIOS update in July.

Every X220 is categorized either as "WWAN model" or "non-WWAN model".
"WWAN model" may have WWAN card pre-installed from Lenovo factory, or only antenna and wiring pre-installed and customer can add the WWAN card later (either way it is considered "WWAN model"). "non-WWAN model" does not have WWAN card or antenna/wiring.

For some reason, X220 BIOS is disabling the mSATA device on certain WWAN models. The mSATA device works on certain other WWAN models, and on all non-WWAN models. The BIOS update in July will enable the mSATA device on all models, even where it doesn't work today. Apologies for everyone's inconvenience caused by this issue.

Wie siehst es eigentlich mit älteren Modellen aus. Wär für mich generell für das X200t interessant.

geht nur in geräten mit msata-steckplatz. den gibts erst bei den neuen modellen. die mini pcie slots der älteren geräte sind nur mit pcie und usb beschaltet, die neuen slots haben zusätzlich auch sata (nur beim wwan-slot). wurde hier schon diverse male durchgekaut.
