Woher krieg ich Treiber für das IBM Thinkpad X41?

hi

ich hab grad das thinkpad von meiner freundin formatiert und nen neues XP prof. SP3 drauf installiert.
nun wollte ich treiber installieren und hab es mit welchen von denen hier probiert: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/migr-54078.html

aber irgendwie funktioniert das nicht so ganz... also eigentlich funktioniert gar keiner von den treibern.

andere software etc. haben wir nicht, weil meine freundin den laptop so von ihrem daddy bekommen hat.
also wo lad ich jetzt am besten die treiber runter? ich find die IBM-seite ist nen riesig großes labyrinth :>

edit: kann es sein, dass ich treiber für nen falsches modell runtergeladen habe?
was ich über das ding hier weiß: steht schön IBM thinkpad und X41 drauf... außerdem werden 1,50GHz, 504MB RAM und 598MHz (FSB?!) angezeigt...

Erstmal Willkommen im Forum.

Ich gehe davon aus, dass Du bereits das System mit WIN XP nackt installiert hast.

Wenn du noch .net 3.0 installiert hast, dann kannst du auch anfagen mit den Treibern über den Updater von Lenovo - Kabelverbindung über RJ 45 wird wohl gehen, oder ??


Unten hast du eine Produktnummer mit XXXX-YYY -> X=Zahlenkombination und Y= Zahlen mit Buchstaben
Die brauchen wir zum Identifizieren der Maschine

Die X41 sind sehr schöne Geräte, Deine Freundin wird es lieben.


Die von Dir verlinkte Treiberseite ist ganeu die richtige, meiner einer nennt auch ein X41 sein eigen und ich habe meine Treiber auch von dort.

Um das X41 richtig zu installieren, schau mal hier; http://thinkpad-wiki.org/Clean_Install

@golem: viele Treiber-EXEs bei Lenovo haben die Besonderheit, daß sie sich beim Aufruf lediglich entpacken aber nicht installieren. Du mußt anschließend noch den eigentlichen Installer im entpackten Verzeichnis aufrufen.

btw. woher weiß ich welchen WLAN- und welchen graka-treiber ich installieren muss?

hab kein plan was für hardware hier verbaut wurde...

GraKa ist der IntelGMA, der auch in der Treibermatrix steckt.

WLAN? Meist ne Intel 2200bg, aber in dem Clean-Install steckt eine Anleitung, wie man die WLAN Karte identifiziert.
