Sim Lock Entfernung Sierra MC8755

Moin,

ich habe mir vor ein paar Tagen ein X60 mit WWAN gegönnt...
Location UK mit Sierra MC8755, natürlich mit Vodkafone-UK SIM Lock. Gerät raus aus der Garantie.

Mit DC Unlocker wurde der SIM Lock natürlich angezeigt, meine o2 Karte natürlich nicht aktzeptiert.
Die 15 Steine für den Unlock wollte ich auf jeden Fall nicht ausgeben, also Tante Google angeschmissen und das hier gefunden... :P

Die Liesmich studiert, passt alles, also los! Die o2-SIM habe ich zum Flashen aus Faulheit dringelassen.
Das Flashen hat ganz schön gedauert. Jetzt kann die Karte auch "hasdeppa" (HSDPA).
Leider ist der SIM Lock mit dem Update verschwunden! So ein Mist, ganzer Abend versaut! Nix mehr zu tun!
Dann musste ich mich leider weiter mit Win7 beschäftigen... :D

Ist glaube ich, nix neues... Stand das hier schon irgendwo? Egal... ;)

Schönen Mist das kommt davon wenn man seine google anschmeißt :D geschieht dir ganz recht... danke für den Tip ich versuch es morgen mal hast du das ganze unter Win7 gemacht? :thumbup:

Ich dachte schon meine Karte ist Hops gegangen - da beim ersten Mal ein "Prüfsummenfehler" nach dem Download kam und danach die karte nur noch N/A als Firmware hatte...
Beim 2. Anlauf klappte es dann ;)

Interessanterweise sahs beim 1. Update so aus:

Naja egal - hauptsache sie tut wieder. Interessanterweise meldet das Tool sowas auch nicht.

Ja gut klar, was mich irritierte waren die Verionsnummern. .8 > .45 dachte ich jetzt eigentlich. Naja - wir werdens wohl nie erfahren :).

(Wobei wenn ich so überlege: Wenn Sierra so hochzählt : .1 < .2 < .3 < ... < .45 dann wäre .8 < .45.) (Ich dachte jetzt die zählen so: .1 < .21 < .22 < .32 < .44 < .45 < .. < .8(0), dann wäre .8 > .45 <- aber dann wär da nochmal en Punkt dazwischen!)

(Das Sierra Tool meckert auch net wenn man die gleiche FW nochmal drüber flasht - interessanterweise.)

Edit: Unlock bleibt übrigens erhalten. (Hatte vorher schon per Code geunlocked.)
Edit2: Wenn man sich die Readme anschaut:
U1_2_45 7BWD13WW 2nd. release
U1_2_36 7BWD12WW Initial release

fragt man sich schon was für eine FW Version ich denn da bitte drauf hatte ?( . Naja hauptsache das nervige On/OFF (DingDong!) Problem ist jetzt vorbei.

gut, daß das normalerweise nicht so ist. :(

hab eben eine mc8755 upgedated, das netlock ist mit der neuen firmware natürlich noch da. das sagt jedenfalls mwconn.

netlock bleibt also erhalten!

ist bei mir leider genauso ;(

vllt meldet sich lenovo nochmals bei mir, habe gaaaaaaaanz freunlich nach dem entsperrcode gefragt.

edit: die spinnen wohl: 60€ für den unlockcode. das ding war grade einen Monat aus der Garantie :cursing: ich werde es mal über meine firma versuchen, wir haben ca 350-400 TP in der Firma, da sollte es es einen business-betreuer geben....
 
Es ist für mich persönlich nicht so ein weltbewegendes Problem, weil ich noch so einige 10 € Vf CallYas' rumfliegen habe und nicht so oft die UMTS-Funktion benötige, aber die bevormundung durch VF und LENOVO nervt mich dann ja doch und die möcht ich loswerden...
 
Bei mir klappt das Update nur mir Win 7!
Unter Xp fand das System die Karte nicht ;)
 
Vielleicht gehts damit:

Instructions to Unlock the Vodafone WWAN Card

1. Obtain an unlock code from customer support
2. Clear desktop and close all applications.
3. Find the COM port number of the Sierra Wireless card as follows:
a. Find the My Computer icon in one of 2 places:
i. Start Menu
ii. Desktop
b. Right Click My Computer and click Properties. This opens the “System Properties” window.
c. Select the Hardware tab in the “System Properties” window.
d. Click the Device Manager button in the hardware tab. This opens the “Device Manager” window.
e. Scroll down the list of devices and device categories to find the Ports (COM & LPT) category.
f. If there is a plus sign to the left of “Ports (COM & LPT)” click the plus sign to see the list of ports. This will show a list of ports below “Ports (COM & LPT)”.
g. If the card is installed correctly, there should be a port called: Sierra Wireless AT Command Port (UMTS)
h. To the right of Sierra Wireless AT Command Port (UMTS) it will show “COM” and a number. Remember this number and write it down to be used in the next step.
i. Close the “Device Manager” window (File->Exit)
j. Close the “System Properties” window (click X in top right of window)
4. Set up a hyper terminal to send commands to the WWAN card as follows:
a. Click Start and then Run…
b. Type “hypertrm” in the Open field of the “Run” window and click OK.
i. If a window appears asking to set HyperTerminal as the default telnet program. Click No.
c. Upon starting, the “Connection Description” window should appear. Type “Sierra Wireless Card AT Port” in the name field and select the icon with the red phone. Click OK
d. This opens the “Connect To” window. Towards the bottom of the window it will say “Connect using”. Click the drop down arrow to the right of “Connect using” and select the COM number that you wrote down in the previous step. Click OK
e. This opens the “COM Properties” window. Enter the following settings in this window:
i. Bits per second: 9600
ii. Data bits: 8
iii. Parity: None
iv. Stop bits: 1
v. Flow control: Hardware
f. Click OK
g. You will now be at the HyperTerminal window and should see a flashing cursor.
h. Type “AT” and press “Enter”
i. If the terminal responds with “OK” then the terminal is configured correctly.
i. If it did not, click File->New Connection to try configuring again.
j. Once configured correctly, click File->Save.
5. Unlock the WWAN card in HyperTerminal as follows:
a. Type AT+CLCK="PN",0,"87654321"(where 87654321 is the unlock code) and press Enter
b. If the terminal displays “OK” the command completed successfully.
c. Click File->Save.
d. Click File->Exit
 
in der Tat, bei mir dauert Punkt 1 schon vier Wochen... vielen Dank auch Lenovo :cursing: :thumbdown:

schade, das das bei niemandem geklappt hat...

Hat schon jemand den direkten Weg eingeschlagen? Oder sagen die einfach, Lenovo ist da zuständig?

Zum Vergrößern anklicken....

Vieleicht hat es bei dir geklappt weil du die Karte während des flashens drinne hattest.



Wie ist das ich habe mir auch ein x60 Tablet gegönnt mit dieser Karte die kann ja laut Herstellerhomepage nur 1,8mbps also ne 1800er Leitung max oder? Lässt die sich irgendwie auf 3,6 updaten oder ist das garnicht so störend da das netz selten eine 2000er hergibt?

Allerdings bezweifle ich das sie die 1,8mbps voll ausnutzen kann, kann dazu jemand was sagen?
