Hallo Leute,
habe mir gestern die ORICO PNU3-EC54 USB3.0 ExpressCard eingebaut und seitdem will auf meinem X220 mit Ubuntu 11.10 der Suspend-To-Ram nicht mehr.
Beim druecken der STR-Taste wird der Bildschirm nur kurz schwarz und zeigt danach wieder den Login-Screen an.

Hat jdm ne Idee wie ich das beheben koennte?

Hi,

finde mal raus welches Kernelmodul für die Karte geladen wird: ohne Karte booten, Karte stecken und mit dmesg schauen. Oder lsmod vorher nachher vergleichen.

Dann sorgst Du dafür, dass das Modul vor dem Suspend entladen wird: pm-utils.

lsmod und ein anschliessendes "diff" der Vorher/Nachher-Dateien liefert mir genau nichts. Die Karte funktioniert aber tadellos...

Hab mein Home Verzeichnis Verschluesselt und bekomm nur
"Plaintext passthrough mode is not enabled; returning -EIO" Eine Idee wie ich das weg bekomme?

Genau das Gleiche habe ich auch - aber mit Windows und ner USB Festplatte. Ging bis jetzt davon aus, dass das ne Hardwaresache ist - das Mainboard in der Maschine ist nämlich ziemlich alt.
 
Ich möchte einfach nur die Ausgabe von dmesg beim Einstecken der Karte, sonst kann ich nichts dazu sagen.

Geht ja genau darum, das mir dmesg nur anzeigt, das es verschluesselt ist. Hast du dazu eine Idee? Find dazu leider im Netz nur aehnliche Faelle, die aber meist auf nen Bug zurueckzufuehren sind.

EDIT: Jetzt gehts, dmesg sagt allerdings gar nichts... und die karte funzt nicht wie sie sollte per hotplug... nur wenn ich den laptop vorher neu starte...

Das dmesg war vom Boot mit Karte? Ansonsten würde ich sagen, deine Installation ist vermurkst, denn da müssen auf jeden Fall Ausgaben kommen.

ps. Welches ThinkPad Modell – Typnummer XXXX-YYY von der Unterseite – ist das genau?
 
Jap, ist mit boot der Karte.
OS ist eigtl noch nicht so viel veraendert, da relativ neu aufgespielt.
Der groebste Eingriff, duerfte noch die Verwendung des PAE-Kernels sein.

32bit ubuntu verwendet doch standardmäßig einen pae-kernel, oder nicht?
aber warum überhaupt 32 bit? hast du irgendeine obskure spezialsoftware, die unter 64 bit nicht zum funktionieren zu bekommen ist? das ist nämlich der einzig sinnvolle grund auf einem 64 bit system heutzutage noch en 32 bit os zu installieren.

Mit dem manuellen unbind klappt der suspend auf jeden Fall.
Dann laeufts wohl einfach auf ein kleines Skript hinaus...
