Hallo zusammen, hat einer von Euch es schon geschafft, den IE 11 unter Win 7 64 bit zu installieren? Bei mir läuft die Installation durch und wird anschließend nach dem Neustart wieder rückgängig gemacht...Passiert auf X61t, T61 und X201....sind die TP generell nicht für IE 11 geeignet?
IE 11 Installation unter WIN 7 64 ULTIMATE funktioniert nicht...

Schaue mal in das Installationslog
An den Geräten liegts nicht, such nach weiteren Gemeinsamkeiten.. ;-)
Sicherheitssoftware? Falls es nicht MSE ist, dann deinstallieren und danach erneut testen.
Auf drei verschiedenen Geräten kann so ein Problem ja nur von einer speziellen Einstellung oder einer bestimmten Software ausgelöst werden.

Der MSE ist auf allen Rechnern drauf, von den T61 habe ich ca. 10 Geräte im Umlauf, alle nur Standard Software und die Lenovo Programme...beim x201 auch...der x61t hat ne Menge mehr installiert...wo finde ich den Installation log?
Ich bin ein Freund davon, möglichst wenige Softwareanbieter zu installieren, Microsoft als Standard, Adobe acrobat und eben die Lenovo Tools...was bei allen 3 auch gleich ist, das unter ultimate 64 bit 4 windowsupdates den ganzen Rechner zerschiessen, diese sind auch ausgeblendet und bereiten keinen Kummer mehr...ein T42p mit 32 bit nimmt die updates klaglos, IE 11 hab ich da noch gar nicht probiert...werde ich aber gleich mal machen...

Genau das sollst Du ja herausfinden. "ERROR" oder "Fatal ERROR" in Verbindung mit "Terminated", "Cancelled" oder "Rollback" wären schon mal erste Hinweise.
Am besten von unten nach oben die Log-Datei durchsuchen.
Hinweis am Rande:
Es tauchen oft ERROR-Meldung in den Logs auf, selbst, wenn die Installation geklappt hat.
By the way, bin seit gefühlten 15 Jahren Thinkpad fan..fing alles mal an mit einem 770 ED...der hat damals mit großer Docking über 10.000 DM gekostet...und mein letzter Kauf war Android Handy von lenovo ....ein Wunderwerk der Technik und akkuleistung...

Das Log, das in c:\windows\logs zu finden sein müsste.
Ich habe bei mir IE10_NR_Setup.log für IE10, eine ähnliche dürfte es für IE11 ebenfalls zu geben (ich kann IE11 nicht installieren, da inkompatibel zu Office 2003, das ich noch nutze).

Das Logfile heißt "IE11_main.log" und steht im Windows-Verzeichnis.
Bezieht sich das auf verschwundene Textteile in Outlook-Mails (nur in HTML) oder welches Problem gibt es sonst in dieser Kombiniation?

im Oktober nach dem patchday hatte ich echt Stress, da waren mal eben im Freundes und Bekanntenkreis bei den T61 über 10 rechner gleichzeitig ausgefallen...tolle Wolle, mache mit Bluescreens, andere nur mit Fehlermeldungen und nicht mehr startenden Programmen aus dem Office Paket....also habe ich alle korrigieren müssen und 2 sogar komplett neu inklusive Datensicherung machen müssen...sehr sehr viel Arbeit für einen Freizeit Laptop Installierer...weiß jemand, ob es irgendwo das update in überarbeiteter Form gibt?

Der Hinweis mit der log Datei war super...manchmal sieht man den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht....jetzt kann ich mal nach dem update suchen, ob es das irgendwie modifiziert gibt....bei win update kommt das immer noch hoch und zerschiesst mir die Rechner...schön das es Foren gibt...

Wie kommst Du denn an den IE 11? Nutzt Du dazu das windows-eigene Update oder hast du IE11 separat herunter geladen und installiert damit manuell? Im zweiten Fall hast Du vielleicht eine Version erwischt, die nicht zur Version des installierten Windows passt (zB falsche Sprache beim IE11 oder Win selbst).
