Hoher Stromverbrauch mit Nvidia Optimus

Hi,
habe eine Frage. Ich habe gerade auf mein Acer Nitro (VN7-792g) TLP installiert (Ubuntu 15.10). Allerdings ist die Akku-Zeit mit Linux im Keller im Vergleich zum Windows 10. Unter Windows kriege ich bei normaler last problemlos 4,5-5 Stunden und beim Ubuntu 15.10 und TLP etwa 2-2.15.
Gibt es dafür irgendeine Lösung.
Bitte um Verzeihung, wenn ich im Falschem Forum dies poste, da ich kein Thinkpad habe, aber TLP sollte auch andere Rechner unterstützen?

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M? Deaktiviere die Grafikkarte im BIOS und nutze ausschließlich die Intel-Grafik. Damit solltest du auch über 4 h kommen.

Wird die Nvidia nicht nach dem Bedarf eingeschaltet wie im Windows 10? Ich schalte sie ungern in Bios, da ich dualboot mit Windows 10 habe und dann die Nvidia auch verwende...
Gibt es noch irgendeine Lösung? Und ich habe bemerkt, dass die CPU schnell bei 58 Grad unter Ubuntu ist. Bei Windows 10 kaum 40-44 Grad...
Schade, dass Ubuntu nicht von Haus so gut angepasst ist wie Windows 10 (bezogen auf Energieverbrauch...)

Hi-danke für die ANtowrt. Die Intel Grafik ist sowieso dauernd eingeschaltet und nicht nvidia... Wenn Nvidia läuft stört mich der hohe Verbrauch nicht, aber wie ich sehe, läuft bei mir nur Intel Graphic...
 
Dies zeigt auch, dass Intel nur arbeitet: $ sudo prime-select intel
Deine Eingabe(!) zeigt gar nichts und der Stromverbrauch zeigt das Gegenteil :). Wenn ein Notebook unter Linux doppelt so viel verbraucht wie unter W******, dann steckt normalerweise die Hybridgrafik dahinter.

Einen Schuss ins Blaue habe ich noch: schalte mal das Runtime PM für die Nvidia ab per Konfiguration:

Schon vor der Änderung der Konfiguration ist mir folgende Zeile aufgefallen:

Das nvidia-Modul wird wohl gar nicht (mehr, denn es war anfangs da) geladen. Dadurch wird wohl auch keinerlei Powermanagement aktiv sein.
 
Hi, habe gerade Unity entfernt und XFCE darauf installiert, plus eine Lüftersteuerung. Bei normaler Verwendung komme ich nun auf 3,5-5 Stunden - hängt von der Last ab. Diese Werte sind - glaube ich - vergleichbar mit Windows 10. Und CPU ist genauso kühl (40-44 Grad) wie unter Win.
Damit ist für mich dieses PRoblem nun gelöst - Danke für TLP und tolle Unterstützung...

Beides ändert aber nichts merklich am Energieverbrauch. Was mit deiner Grafikkarte ist, wissen wir auch noch nicht. Aber wenn es dir so gefällt, ist es ja ok.

Bin offen für weitere Vorschläge... Unterschiede gibt es schon. Z. b. unter Unity funktionierte Lüftersteuerung nach Standby nicht und die CPUs sind mMn nach nicht so heiß wie früher...

:( Du hast schon recht-schäme mich, dass ich manchmal zu blöd erscheine... Ich mag Linux und verwende es gerne, aber mein Ziel ist immer das Gerät für mich perfekt einzustellen und danach, mich möglichst wenig mit dem System zu beschäftigen... Die Folge ist, dass ich mich dann 2-3 Wochen im Jahr (je nach dem wie oft ich einen neuen Rechner habe) mit dem System aktiv auseinandersetze und danach lasse ich die Finger weg davon... D.h. ich komme nich wirklich tief in die Materie... Ich bin einfach ein Windows-User in der Linux-Welt :)
Wenn es um Panelapplet geht-da hast du recht, aber der Unterschied war schon nach dem ersten Login in XFCE spürbar und ich kann es nur bestätigen-ich erreichte wirklich 4-5 Stunden (wie mit Win 10) unter Xubuntu. Ich habe Gefühl, dass Unity deutlich mehr Hintergrundprozesse hat als XFCE...
Wenn es noch besser gehen würde, wäre toll...
 
Und bin wieder da :confused:. Ich habe ein Upgrade von Xubuntu 15.10 auf 16.04 gemacht und Stromverbrauch hat sich gewaltig geändert und der Lüfter ist falls dauernd an, weil die Temperaturen 15-30 Grad höher sind als früher. CPU Last ist aber (angeblich) niedrig und liegt bei nur 1-4%.
Woran es liegen kann, weiss ich nicht, aber Powertop zeigt sehr hoher Verbrauch bei

Bei Hybridgrafik und halbierter Laufzeit gibt es imho nur diesen einen Grund.

Dass powertop für die Einzelkomponenten Unsinn anzeigt, wurde im Forum schon ca. 1.000.042 mal gesagt, in der TLP FAQ steht es ebenfalls. Danke auch, dass Du die tlp-stat Ausgabe im AC Modus zeigst, obwohl Du ja ein Problem im Akkumodus hast :facepalm:.
