Hi alle,
Ich bin neu hier (und mit meinem ersten Thinpad überglücklich) - bis auf die Tastaturbelegegung mit CTRL rechts neben Fn. Ich weiß dass das Thema hier und da schon besprochen wurde, aber ich glaube es ist nicht unwichtig und hätte da einen Vorschlag:
Da die Fn Taste Hardwired ist und NUR im Bios umbelegt werden kann (Windows registry keys wie Sharpkeys können das nicht), ist die einzige Option ein Bios Upgrade von Lenovo, in dem diese Umbelegungsoption angeboten wird (wie z.B. Die Capslock Deaktivieren Funktion).
Bedarf und gute Gründe für eine solche Umbelegung gibt es genügend (ich brauche z.B. ständig Ctrl + Shift, um ganze Wörter zu markieren, oder Ctrl + Shift + [noch eine Taste] für Textlayoutoptionen in MS Word.
Vielleicht können wir Bei Lenovo dieses (sicher nicht übertrieben aufwändige) feature anregen, wenn wir der Firma, die das Bios schreibt auch unseren Bedarf kundtun.
Daher schlage ich vor, dass jeder, der diese Option (die es wohl auch für einige wenige Modelle bereits gibt, für mein R500 z.B. aber nicht) unterstützt (man muss sie nicht mal selbst dafür nutzen wollen), eine email oder postanfrage an Lenovo schickt, und diesen Aufruf an passenden Stellen weiterträgt (z.B. betroffene Bekannte, andere Foren, etc.). Wenn Die idee hier anregung findet, wäre vielleicht auch eine Foren-news mitteilung oder offizieller Aufruf möglich?
Abzuwägen bliebe die Kontaktadresse bei Lenovo.
Da ich keine technische Support - emailadresse gefunden habe (noch eine - entwicklungsabteilung, die eigentlich betroffen wäre) und, da es kein technisches Problem in dem Sinne ist, da momentan keine Lösung (ausser inoffizielen BIOS hacks) existiert, werde ich mein Schreiben an die normale Kontaktadresse für nicht technische Fragen richten; aber vielleich hat jemand jedoch eine bessere idee. Kann man den email-link hier posten? Man findet die adresse einfach bei -> about lenovo -> contact.

Before considering the following as technical support question, please consider that this is a Design/development suggestion, as there is no current technical solution. If this was not the right contact adress, please do forward this message to whoever is in the position to do something about it:
One minor issue with the usability of a thinkpad that many people, amongst them I, expierience as a major annoyance in daily work, is the positioning of the Fn key on thinkpad models. It may be quite justifiable and handy for some, but for many others, using the CTRL Key a lot, and a lot in combination with the shift key, it decreases typing speed and hence efficiency and usability of the product.
I do not suggest relayouting the keyobard and replacing the Fn key, however, a BIOS changable choice to remap the Fn and the left CTRL Key to each other, (as, i believe, possible for some few thinkpad models) would be greatly appreciated by many users of many thinpad models. Lenovo, please release a BIOS Upgrade containing this feature as soon as possible for all major thinkpad series. It will definately increase your customers contentness with the product.
If any doubts remain, Internet search for "Thinkpad fn CTRL switch" or similar searchwords illustrates a general need for this feature. Some people have gone so far as considering resoldering the key-contacts on their keyboard plate.
Please let me know if this can and will be done, and, in case that not, the reasons for not satisfying this (apparently easy to fix) customer request.

P.S.: Ich hatte es hier unter Anregungen gestellt, weil ich es als "Aufruf" anregung gedacht hatte, aber evtl. passt es doch besser unter Thinkpad - allemeine Diskussion? Dür den Fall sorry, vielleicht kann es ein Admin verschieben?
