Bios-Update und Versionen

[Hitman]

Hi,

ich bin mit den Bios-Versionen bei meinem T60 recht durcheinander. Im Bios selbst steht version 2.01. Dann war ich auf der lenovo HP und wollte das neuste Bios runterladen und dann steht da version 1.10 (dateiname: 79uj11us.exe) jedoch erstellt im Sep. 2006. Also hab ich die probiert doch dann sagt er mir beim update-versuch: "Bios image file is older than bios rom"
naja und da hab ich dann abgebrochen weil ich nicht weiter wusste. was bitte ist die aktuelleste bios version und wo bekomm ich die her?

Version 79ETC3WW (2.03)

* (Fix) Need to enter BIOS supervisor password after updating the BIOS to 79ETC1WW from 79ET67WW (or previous version), if the BIOS supervisor password is set at BIOS update.

Note that this problem does not occur once the system has been booted with BIOS 79ETC1WW. If you successfully updated with 79ETC1WW, you don't need to update with this 79ETC3WW.

* (New) Support for October 2006 models.
* (Fix) Some versions of the EMM386 mistakenly write a hard drive's MBR area. It will not boot up after this. (FDISK /MBR may recover it)
* (Fix) Icons on the desktop will be rearranged by a LCD cover close/open action.
1. This problem occurs only on models with a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator. Machine type is 19xx.
2. Upgrade the display driver to version 6.14.10.4693 or later to fix this problem.

Das ist alles?? Dann verstehe ich nicht, wieso die GPU von dekagon soviel wärmer nach dem Update ist.

Das ist alles?? Dann verstehe ich nicht, wieso die GPU von dekagon soviel wärmer nach dem Update ist. Bei den geringen Änderungen sehe ich keinen Grund zum Updaten.

Wenn das BIOS 2.01 funzt, dann ist ein Update nicht notwendig.

Sorry, aber ich hab keine Ahnung wo ich das ROM-File finden kann. Egal wo ich nach dem BIOS suche, ich lande immer auf der IBM-Seite wo's das Utility gibt. Dieses beinhaltet aber nicht das BIOS oder bin ich einfach nur blind?

Also bei der Boot CD bin ich mir relativ sicher, dass es enthalten ist. Dafür würde auch der Name vom Image sprechen....
