Well, I've bought a B-Ware Thinkpad X200 Tablet and a friend of mine an A-Ware X200S. My X200 Tablet had seemed to had a corrupted OEM-image (I couldn't activate my Windows 7 Pro), so I reinstalled on a own license. A few days later, I've got a bluescreen. Some weeks later, it began to freeze and had two BSODs. It turned out, that the Harddrive had Reallocated Events and I'm currently changing it. I hope all the trouble will be resolved by then. At mine machine, there are some cracked out parts and some scratches.
My friend however, got the A-grade X200S laptop and it seems to be in a worse shape than my X200 Tablet. The battery is not in a good shape, it has broken off parts. But the OEM-image seems to be ok.
I recommend to check everything, from hardware to software upon receiving any order from that firm. The harddrive may have been run down and the image could have too much preinstalled.
I've also ordered a new battery from them for my R61e and it's beginning to make trouble, so I'm considering to change it.
Seems to be a very good one
If you don't have fear of little scratches that don't affect usability, you should buy it!
Only problem with Luxnote i heard is: You should budget a new Akku, because the one which comes with it is mostly a little lottery (it will be functional, but it won't last many hours)
I was very lucky with my device, my battery has only some circles and can hold up to 4 hrs. But watch out. Read the feedbacks of the user. I would recommend after all these experiences, to buy somewhere else or to digg deeper and watch out for some offers in your country of origin. Importing stuff from Germany may last longer than you expect. I wouldn't even import electronics from abroad. Postal services may abuse the package and you might receive a broken laptop. If you have a friend in Germany (Luxenote is from Laatzen near Hanover), I would ask him/her to buy it for yourself in Hanover or take deliver and take a little weekend trip to Germany and pick it up. It's for safety reasons, because our postal service often loose expensive stuff or steals them or opens packages.
Since you are from another nation, I would phone the dealer whether the notebook is available and in a good shape. It isn't worth at all, to buy blindly and rely on "official photos". One notice about the keyboard layout: Germany uses the QWERTZ-layout with Umlauts (ÜÖÄ) and the s-z (ß). The dealer often sells relabeled keyboards. The paint from my Enter-Key is already scratching off. I can see the shape of an "Z" on my "Y"-Key and "Y"-Key has a "Z"-Shape.
I hope this helps.
