Trackpoint beim L530?

Ich hab ein wirklich sonderbares Problem bei meinem frischen L530. Der Trackpoint wird wirklich GAR NICHT erkannt.

Ich hab das halbe Internet abgesucht, überall scheint es so zu sein, dass der Trackpoint mindestens als gewöhnliche Maus erkannt wird und niemand scheint damit probleme zu haben.

Unter Windows funktioniert der Trackpoint einwandfrei, unter Linux funktioniert das Touchpad zwar, aber Trackpoint wird nirgendwo auch nur ansatzweise aufgeführt... nicht bei lspci oder lsusb und auch nicht bei xinput list...

Hat jemand ähnliche Probleme oder könnte mir noch ein paar Ideen liefern, wie ich überhaupt sehe ob der kernel das Gerät überhaupt zur kenntnis nimmt?

bei mysteriösem verhalten hat sich bereits oft der hardware reset bewährt:
netzteil ab, akku raus, mindestens 30 sekunden lang den einschaltknopf drücken.

Und, hat ein Hardware-Reset geholfen?

Falls nicht, wird der Trackpoint denn erkannt, wenn du das Touchpad im BIOS deaktivierst? So ist es zumindest bei mir, und ich wurde auf einen Kernel-Bug verwiesen https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33292

Oh man -.- Nach dem Hardreset geht beides nicht - Touchpad und Trackpoint nun beide nicht erkannt und keine elantech mehr in dmesg drin :/

Im BIOS kann ich nichts dergleichen einstellen, bei USB einstellungen nix mit eingabegeräten, bei keyboard/mouse kann ich nur Fn-Taste einstellungen tätigen...

Ich starte vlt gleich mal eben Windows, vlt initialisiert sich Touchpad dann wieder... und mache grad nen kernel update auf 3.4.5... mal sehen...

Update: Nach kernel update geht Touchpad wieder, Trackpoint immer noch kein Lebenszeichen... wie gesagt, das mit dem BIOS kann ich nicht testen... oder guck ich in den falschen Menüs?..

Okay, nach

rmmod serio_raw

Funktioniert es... Leider, wie da in der Diskussion auch steht, ohne support für die Zusatzfunktionen wie Touchpad Gesten oder Trackpoint Mittelknopf-Scrolling oder Einstellungen, da nicht der synaptics-Treiber benutzt wird :/ Nun gut, danke! Auf jeden Fall besser als dass es überhaupt nicht geht...

Scheint ein Bug im Treiber zu sein. Elantech-Hardware im ThinkPad ist mir auch neu, bisher gab es nur Synaptics und ALPS.

Hallo,
Ich habe mir nun auch gerade ein L530 zugelegt und das gleiche Problem. Ich frage mich nun, haben alle L530 dieses Problem, oder ist das eine Ausnahme? (Denn man liest finde ich ja nur sehr wenig über das Problem). Wenn es nur eine Ausnahme ist, noch kann ich es zurück schicken.....
Gibt es Hoffnung, dass der BUG im Treiber irgendwann behoben wird? Würde das dann irgendwann in den Systemupdates mit eingepflegt werden, oder wie funktioniert das?

Hi,

ich gehe bis zum Beweis des Gegenteils davon aus, dass alle L430/530 davon betroffen sind. Ich schätze, dass viele User einfach lieber das Touchpad nutzen und es so weniger auffällt.

Der Bug wird mit allerhöchster Wahrscheinlichkeit gefixt werden. Irgendwann

jo, da hatte ich mich gerade schon angemeldet und eingetragen. Nur zum Verständnis, wenn das irgendwann gefixt werden sollte, wie kriege ich das mit? Geht es dann nach dem Update einfach plötzlich?
(wenn ich entscheiden muss zwischen trackpoint ohne scrollfunktion und touchpad wo ich schön mit 2 Fingern scrollern kann fällt die Entscheidung schon schwer. Derzeit habe ich ne Maus dran....)

Da ich das Touchpad ohnehin nicht nutze, habe ich herausgefunden, dass die Trackpoint-Scrollfunktion funktioniert, wenn mann die an folgendes macht:

Erstmal wie in den vorangegangenen Einträgen Beschrieben den Trackpoint überhaupt zum Laufen bringen, indem man ihn zur Standard-Hardware degradiert:

Neustarten oder per rmmod+modprobe das "psmouse"-Modul neu laden.

Und dann das Scrolling aktivieren (am Besten bei jedem Start per Autostart ausführen):

Als besonderes Bonbon habe ich für Waschmittels Lösungsansatz im ThinkPad Extras PPA das Paket tp-trackpoint-elantech bereitgestellt, das alles automatisch erledigt.

Ich habe seit ein paar Wochen ein L430 mit Fedora 17,
zum testen hatte ich Fedora 13 drauf, und der Trackpoint lief.

Hab jetzt aber schon einiges probiert, aber unter dem 3.6 Kernel
bekomm ich den Trackpoint nicht zum laufen.

Ich habe sowohl eine trackpoint.conf als auch eine tracḱpoint-elantech.conf
Hab versucht psmouse neu zu starten, aber es kommt nur der Fehler:
FATAL: Module psmouse is builtin. oder Error: Module psmouse is in use

Kann mir da jemand helfen, wie man an dieses Problem rangeht?

wenn fest einkompiliert, braucht es wohl eine Bootoption für den Kernel: psmouse.proto=bare

Außerdem liegt die Konfiguration für den X-Server bei Fedora woanders: /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/11-trackpoint-elantech.conf (Inhalt wie in Trackpoint angegeben)
