W550s BIOS Update 1.09 (wichtig)

Das W550s hat ein relativ wichtiges BIOS Update erhalten, von Version 1.07 auf 1.09. Hier der Changelog:

[Important] Fixed a security vulnerability.
(New) Supported F1-F12 as Primary Function in BIOS Setup menu.
(New) Supported Fn Stick Key in BIOS Setup menu.
(Note) Please use the following utilities level for above two functions.
Lenovo Base Utility : v.5.60.0000 or later
Lenovo Power Management Driver : v.1.67.10.07 or later
(New) Updated the CPU microcode.
(New) Updated Computrace module to 945_VN.
(New) Improved the graphics performance.
(New) Supported the 60Hz refresh rate of 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution monitor.
(Note) Please reinstall Intel HD Graphics Driver to take effect.

Läuft das auch über Lenovo System Update?

Ja, auf jeden Fall. Allerdings kann es etwas dauern, bis das Update dann über das System Update ankommt (heißt: Maximal vielleicht 1 - 2 Wochen, höchstens).

so lange warte ich nicht. Ich installiers mal übers Windows Utility.

Seit dem Update macht mein Notebook Geräusche (vermutlich Spulenfiepen). Ich kann mich nicht erinnern das davor auch gehabt zu haben.
Lässt sich zwar durch ausschalten der CPU Energieregelung im BIOS umgehen, aber schön ist das nicht.

das hatte meines auch vorher schon. Tritt nur auf wenns auf Akku läuft.
Ist das eigentlich ein Reklamationsgrund?

Kann man das auch problemlos über SystemUpdate installieren, wenn man ein Supervisor Passwort im Bios eingestellt hat?
