Vista Business 32 or 64 bits

Ich habe mir dieses Notebook
IBM Lenovo ThinkPad R61 Core2Duo 2 GB Ram 320 GB
(Can i with 64 vista business create a second partition to install win2003Server)
Prozessortyp: Intel Centrino Core2Duo
Prozessorgeschwindigkeit: X 2 = 3.320 MHz
Das beinhaltet kein Betriebssystem.

Ich will aber später aus einem normalem Btetriebssystem (win vista Business 32 0r 64) die 320 GB partitionieren, um windows 2003 Server auf zweite Partition (muss mindesten 250 GB --> d.h. Max. 60GB muss für vista reichen, da ich min 250GB für win2003 brauche)
Meine Frage:
1. Ich bin dabei vista zu kaufen, und habe anscheinend mich verschätzt, wo ich vista Business 32 bit gekauft habe: Sollte für core 2 Duo Proz. 64 bit sein oder nicht????
2. Je nach dem ob 32 oder 64 bit, kann einfacher aus 64 bits die Festplatte partitionieren, so dass windows 2003 Server in der zweiten Partition installiert wird (technisch gesehen: aus 64 Betriebssystem (vista 64) zu 32 bit?? BS (win2003 server)).
Wird das klappen?
3. D.h. Muss ich unbedingt 64 win vista Business kaufen? Wenn ja, kann er eine Partition anlegen, worauf win2003 Server installiert wird?

A. Der Core2Duo kann 32 und 64 bit, du kannst dir als Aussuchen welches OS du installierst. (Gib mal die genaue CPU Nummer an = Core2Duo T5600 etc)
btw. diese 3320 MHZ sind klasse
Somit hätte ich fast 16 GHZ (edit: korrektur: 14,8 GHZ )

Wenn du nicht zwingend 64 bit Anwendungen hast, würde ich persönlich lieber ein 32 bit OS nehmen.
Ich sehe keine wirklichen Vorteile in 64 bit zur Zeit.

B. 60 GB für Vista muss reichen? Na dann hoffe ich mal das du nicht allzuviel Programme installieren musst
sonst werden die 60 GB sehr eng.

I presume you are of an English speaking origin, judging by your application of German grammar.

A Core 2 Duo does not necessarily imply you ought to be using a 64 bit OS, however it can be of some advantage with regard to software specifically designed for this architecture. Generally speaking, a 32 bit OS should be more than sufficient for every day use. In the course of the last weeks, I tested both the 32 bit and the 64 bit system and concluded for myself that I am on no account dependend on a 64 bit OS these days ... they may be a bit faster in some regards, yet the toll for this plus in performance is often a lack of driver support or worse scenarios. If you have a 32 bit version already, stick with it and be glad.

According to your question on how to approach the partition layout, I would recommend reading a bit more about this subject. It might come in handy to have profound background knowledge in this department, for it can spare you a lot of hassle. But essentially, you should be fine using a 64 bit Vista and a 32 bit Win03 Server version simultaneously, since the partitions are logically separated.

Jetzt soweit: Notebook T5450 Core 2 Duo centrino CPU 1.66 GHZ 1.67 GHZ mit vista home basic testversion

Hallo,

Notebook ist da mit der Testversion (16 Tage vor Aktivierung) von vista Home Basic: Jetzt sieht die Konstellation ganz anders.

1. Ich habe gesehen, dass ich unter vista home Basic die Festplatte partitionieren kann

>> meine Frage ist nur: Wird das wirklich klappen, dass ich jetzt die Platte partitioniere, win2003 server auf 2e installiere, und danach die Home Basic vista Partition lösche. Ich hoffe, das sollte keine Nachteile haben.
