Tastatur/Trackpoint-Probleme X230 (Neu)

Moin, ich habe von 2 Wochen oder sowas mein neues X230 bekommen und in den letzten Tagen aus irgendeinem Grund immer wieder Probleme mit der Tastatur, genauer gesagt mit dem Trackpoint. Mal abgesehen von der Tatsache, dass ich noch keine Möglichkeit gefunden habe ihn, oder das Touchpad unter Ubuntu auszuschalten, funktioniert er manchmal nach dem Startup schlicht und ergreifend nicht (die Tasten ebenfalls nicht).

Das verwirrt mich sehr, weil ich auch noch nirgends Einstellmöglichkeiten der Eingabegeräte gefunden habe, außer "Schnell und Langsam", Mausspur anzeigen und den Käse.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit den Status der Eingabegeräte auszulesen oder ähnliches?

Unter Windows habe ich dieses Problem bisher noch nicht beobachten können, da ich es nicht sonderlich oft nutze. Es ist allerdings nicht unmöglich, dass sich das Problem auf Ubuntu beschränkt...

Wenn es denn wenigstens das Touchpad wäre, das ist so oder so doof....

leider kenne ich mich nicht so gut bei linux aus, aber das touchpad sollte man im bios still legen können.
zumindest bei meinem x201t habe ich im bios unter config, dann keyboard/mouse das touchpad auf disabled gestellt.

Beim Starten von Ubuntu bleibt manchmal der Trackpoint samt Tasten ohne Funktion.

Insofern solltest Du deinen Post mal ein wenig aufräumen, insbesondere "Tastatur" gehört aus dem Titel entfernt und das Touchpad-Thema lenkt genauso ab.

ps. ich bitte die Moderation um Verschiebung nach "Linux".

Da hätte ich doch fast den Lösungsansatz vergessen. Wenn es wieder auftritt, lade mal das zuständige Kernelmodul neu:

sudo modprobe -rv psmouse
sudo modprobe -v psmouse
Falls das hilft, kannst Du als Workaround für den Systemstart das Paket trackpoint-psmouse-reload von hier probieren (Direktlink).

1. Ja, mein Ausdruck ist oft etwas langwierig. Ich ändere das gleich mal. Allerdings dünkte mir, dass Trackpoint und Tastatur rein baulich eine Einheit bilden. Gut, softwaretechnisch aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach nicht...

Da hätte ich doch fast den Lösungsansatz vergessen. Wenn es wieder auftritt, lade mal das zuständige Kernelmodul neu:

Da hätte ich doch fast den Lösungsansatz vergessen. Wenn es wieder auftritt, lade mal das zuständige Kernelmodul neu:

sudo modprobe -rv psmouse
sudo modprobe -v psmouse
Falls das hilft, kannst Du als Workaround für den Systemstart das Paket trackpoint-psmouse-reload von hier probieren (Direktlink).
 
Der Workaround automatisiert einfach das Neuladen von psmouse.

@alroar: wenn psmouse abgestürzt ist, loggt es leider auch nicht mehr.
 
kannst du mal posten was bei Dir im Ordner /ect/X11/xorg.conf.d/ rumliegt ? Mit den synaptics.conf hast du nicht schon rumgespielt ?

Ich habe jetzt nicht genau verfolgt, welches Problem genau du hast. Ich hatte jedenfalls beim X230 auch Probleme mit dem Touchpad (Cursor-Jumping), und da habe ich folgende Datei

abgelegt. Dadurch wurde bei mir die Problematik zu 98% Prozent behoben. Keine Ahnung, ob es auch auf den Trackpoint Auswirkungen hat.

Probleme mit der den Touchpoint-Tasten hatte ich unter 12.10 auch, da bin ich zurück zu 12.04, wo es "Out of the Box" keine Probleme gab. Mittlerweile habe ich zwei Dist-Upgrades auf 13.04 gemacht und alles läuft einwandfrei.
 
Grundsätzlich: Die Methode von Linrunner hat erstmal funktioniert. Ich hab das Paket installiert und werd mal sehen wie es sich morgen auf der Arbeit so schlägt :)

Bei mir funktioniert der Trackpoint unregelmäßig nicht...

Ja, die Option im Bios kannte ich.. Aber ich will ja beides benutzen können. Un, bei Bedarf in Ubuntu entweder Trackpoint oder Touchpad ausschalten können...

Also ich finde das Touchpad richtig gut.

Kann man es bei Unity nicht abstellen? Bei Gnome geht das in den Systemeinstellungen. Außerdem gibt es eine Extension.
 
Gibts nicht in Unity, wobei der Dialog dort aus Gnome3 stammt.

Hat das X230 keine Entsprechung zu Fn+F8? Damit schalte ich das Touchpad am X220.

Kann man aber auch über die Kommandozeile ein-/ausschalten. Erst den Gerätenamen ermitteln per

Es geht doch! Zumindest unter Ubuntu 13.04

Ich habe es grade ausprobiert und das Touchpad im BIOS aktiviert. Und dann erscheint in der Systemeinstellungen unter "Maus und Touchpad" ein weiter Abschnitt für Einstellungen zum Touchpad. Und man kann es da An- und ausschalten, die Zeigergeschwindigkeit ändern u.a.
 
Die Frage bezog sich aber auf Ubuntu 12.04, also bringt es dem TE nichts, wenn ihr hier mit neueren Versionen oder Fedora ankommt. Wobei es schon etwas seltsam ist, wenn plötzlich in Gnome3 Einstellungen hinzu kommen ... ;)
