Wo ist mein Fehler...oder läuft das T61p generell so laut.

Bin grade recht zufrieden mit meiner Installation und möchte nun ungern was anderes ausprobieren :-/

ohne deine /etc/thinkfan.conf läßt sich schlecht etwas dazu sagen :(.

EDITH (hat nichts mit dem Lüfter zu tun): ist es Absicht, dass Du deine SSD/HDD mit angezogener Handbremse (SATA Mode = Compatible) fährst?

Laut thinkwiki hat das T61p eine "Besonderheit" beim 6cell Akku:
5 9-Cell Battery - Secondary yes static @ 50C on 6-cell
Scheint bei dir aber auch auch den 9cell zuzutreffen.

Den 5. Sensor wirst Du also mit einem Offset in /etc/thinkfan.conf zum Schweigen bringen müssen:

Lüfter: lies meine EDITHs oben. Deine Sensor-Offsets scheinen mir auch etwas seltsam zusammengewürfelt. Nimm erstmal meinen Vorschlag.

SATA-Mode: stellst Du im BIOS um. Vorsicht: ein paralleles Windows blauschirmt dann.

Ich hatte die thinkfan.conf eigentlich gar nicht verändert, da da ja schon drin stand, dass die Werte für en T61p wären.
 
Könntest du mir noch bitte behilflich sein, wie ich das mit dem SATA Mode richtig mache?
 
Im BIOS unter "Config -> Serial ATA (SATA)" die "SATA Controller Mode Option" von "Compatible" auf "AHCI" stellen. Siehe meine obige Warnung falls Windows-Dualboot installiert.
 
Nein, da es bisher rein optisch so schön läuft und ich in der Vergangenheit da schonmal Probleme hatte.

Sollte ich? Bringt mir das Vorteile oder Nachteile?

Und welchen bräuchte ich für das T61p...Current, 173, 96?

Der Stromverbrauch dürfte deutlich sinken. Ich weiß leider nicht welcher Treiber der richtige ist (ich kaufe grundsätzlich nur Intel-Modelle). Macht Ubuntu keinen Vorschlag wenn Du den Dialog aufrufst?
 
Ich habe nun den Current Treiber von nvidia installiert, dieser wurde mir von Ubuntu empfohlen.
