1. nvidia-prime 0.5 has been released today with a new feature that allows users to switch between the integrated and discrete GPU ("prime-select" command line tool). Other changes include:
improved hardware detection - make sure the the laptop uses Nvidia Optimus and Nvidia driver >= 319;
more robust system to deal with xorg.conf: broken xorg.conf files will be automatically restored to a configuration that works with hybrid graphics;
make sure that NVIDIA is always enabled on shutdown - this will avoid issues with the BIOS;

Welche Vorteile bietet bumblebee noch?
Bei einem T440p mit Nvidia läßt sich bumblebee mit xxbuntu 13.10 nicht installieren.
Bei der Installation crasht die UEFI Partition.

Also ich habe jetzt Kubuntu 13.10 mit Prime 0.5 und den nvidia Kernel 3.12.6 laufen. Allerdings gibt es bei den Thinkpads wohl noch immer das Problem das der Displayport nicht erkannt wird.
Heist man müsste entweder mit VGA an TV oder Monitor ran oder man wartet bis es Behoben wurde. Es sei denn jemand hat eine Lösung dafür parat.
Ansonnsten kann ich Prime 0.5 nur empfehlen es verrichtet seine arbeit hervorragend. man kann zwischen Intel und Nvidia wechseln. Es ist nur eine Abmeldung nötig damit diese gewechselt wird.
