Guten Morgen Foris,

IBM schreibt:
"ThinkPad T20, T21, T22 and T23 systems do not support dual display running Microsoft Windows 2000."

Ist das Problem bei XP gelöst, oder muß ich damit leben, dass es nur bei Win98 geht (was ich nicht
auf einem T23 installieren möchte) ?

Grüße und Danke für die Antworten!

Stefan

Symptom

ThinkPad T20, T21, T22 and T23 systems do not support dual display running Microsoft Windows 2000.

Affected configurations

All ThinkPad T20, T21, T22 and T23 models running Microsoft Windows 2000.

Solution

Dual display under Windows 2000 requires a separate PCI video adapter in the ThinkPad Dock.

Additional information

"Extend my desktop onto this monitor" is available in Microsoft Windows 98 on these systems, but not in Windows 2000.

This is a limitation in Windows 2000 if you are trying to support multiple
monitors on a single video card that does not have multiple video
heads. The ThinkPad is capable of supporting multiple monitor functions
under Windows 2000 only with a 2nd video card.

Models with Windows 98 Second Edition, and Windows XP Professional
support a system display and an external monitor simultaneously while
different applications are on each screen. Move the cursor from one
screen to the other and drag and drop items from the application on one
screen to the application on the second screen.
