W520 BIOS 1.43 verfügbar

Für das W520 steht das aktualisierte BIOS 1.43 zum Bezug bereit.

[Important updates]
- Security fix addresses LEN-8324 System Management Mode (SMM) BIOS Vulnerability.
(Note)
If the UEFI BIOS has been updated to version 1.43 or higher, it is no longer
able to roll back to the version before 1.43 for security improvement.

[New functions or enhancements]
- Nothing.

[Problem fixes]
- Fixed an issue where the brightness control might not work on Windows XP.

Hab von v1.25 auf v1.43 aktualisiert. Mir ist aufgefallen, das der Lüfter nun langsamer dreht :thumbsup:

Ja, aber jetzt extra XP installieren, um zu sehen, ob die Helligkeitssteuerung geht, ist mir dann doch zu aufwendig...

Das Update betrifft wohl auch andere Geräte aus der *20-Serie, habe es auf einem X220 auch durchgeführt und es läuft soweit unauffällig.
