Ein Neustart ist erforderlich, um eine Aktualisierung abzuschließen.

Den Neustart habe ich nach mehr als fünf Minuten schwarzem Bildschirm (Lüfter EIN auf hoher Stufe) abgebrochen, System AUS > EIN. Dann:

Nicht korrekt aktualisierte Geräte:

mit der iso hat man im Zweifel auch seinen Spaß -> ich hatte leztens einen schwarzen Bildschirm am t490s (gefühlte 20 min).

Ich habe das iso mit dd auf den Stick geschrieben /dev/sdX -

Im Zweifel erstmal nicht updaten ?!? Schaue mal auf reddit Linuxonthinkpad und /r/thinkpad und im Lenovoforum - da waren ein paar Berichte von gebrickten T14 ... :facepalm:

Oder nochmal per fwupdmgr und dann länger warten ?

Ich werde das Update jetzt zurückstellen, bis es eine neue, fehlerfreie Version gibt. Zum Glück startet mein System. Ich habe das Problem hier veröffentlicht, für das LENOVO-Forum fehlt mir die ID.
Unschön ist, dass seit dem fwupd-Fehler der rote LENOVO-Balken zweimal kommt und besonders beim zweiten Auftauchen lang anhaltend den Start ausbremst. Kann ich etwas bereinigen?

Ja, alternative Installationsmethode durchführen.
Ist auf der Kiste noch Garantie?
 
Ja sorry das war ein Schuß ins Blaue - gefühlt funktioniert da gar nichts mehr mit den Firmwareupdates zur Zeit.

Heute Update BIOS 1.29 -> 1.34 mit fwupd erfolgreich durchgeführt.
