Ich würde gerne von Linux Mint Debian Edition aus grub4dos auf einem USB-Stick (2 GB, FAT32) installieren, aber die Installation bricht leider mit einer unverständlichen Fehlermeldung ab. Mit der 64 bit-Datei:
julia@workstation:~/Desktop/grub4dos-0.4.6a$ sudo ./bootlace64.com /dev/sdb
./bootlace64.com: 1: ./bootlace64.com: rive: not found
./bootlace64.com: 2: ./bootlace64.com: Syntax error: "in" unexpected
Keine Ahnung, was "rive" sein soll... xD Und mit der 32 bit-Datei:
julia@workstation:~/Desktop/grub4dos-0.4.6a$ sudo ./bootlace.com /dev/sdb
Segmentation fault
Ich habe das grub4dos-0.4.6a-2014-01-17 von hier:

Sinn des Ganzen ist ein BIOS-Update für mein altes R60, wobei bislang leider keines der Methoden im ThinkWiki funktioniert (https://thinkwiki.de/BIOS-Update_ohne_optisches_Laufwerk_unter_Ubuntu).
