Intel Management Engine Firmware Update schlägt fehl - SKU wird nicht erkannt?

Hallo Leute,

ich hab mir ein gebrauchtes T460p mit vorinstalliertem Win10 auf eBay gekauft.

Beim Systemupdate mit Lenovo Vantage oder Lenovo System Update kommt jeweils beim Update für die Intel Management Engine Firmware folgende Fehlermeldung:

"The FW Update Utility couldn't identify the system's SKU (Consumer or Corporate). Please check your ME FW Update Utility package and try again."


Auch as Update für den Intel Video Diver schlägt fehl. Hängt das evtl zusammen?


woran liegt das und wie bekommt man das Problem gelöst?

nee, steht auf enabled


Im Lenovo-Forum scheint es eine Art Workaround zu geben:

Allerdings verstehe ich den Lösungsweg nicht ganz und es erscheint mir auch eher als eine halbseidene Lösung, da in diesem Thread die Frage unbeantwortet bleibt:

"I remain worried that this process may not update a registry key or set some hardware flag that Lenovo uses to track the firmware status and that might affect future auto updates. Also, if there's something weird about this machine that it doesn't have a SKU that conforms to how they're set when Lenovo ships these things, I want to know that too."
