Absturzanalyse Linux Mint

Hallo zusammen,

seit einigen Woche arbeite ich zunehmend mehr mit Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.1 auf meinem T420. Vereinzelt und bisher ohne erkennbares Schema treten aber leider Abstürze auf. D.h. Die Maus bleibt plötzlich stehen und es ist keinerlei Interaktion mehr mit dem System möglich.
Deshalb habe ich mir den syslog angeschaut.
Allerdings finde ich dort nur eine leere Zeile im Moment des Absturzes (18:06 Uhr)

Ich habe nach dem Absturz extra ein paar Minuten mit dem Reboot gewartet, falls noch irgend ein Log-File geschrieben wird.
Anschließend folgen dann die Meldungen des Reboots.
Douane ist übrigens eine "Popup"-Firewall, die ich verwende um Matlab u.ä. am "heimtelefoneiren" zu hindern.

Meine Linuxkenntnisse sind noch eher wenig bis maximal zur Untergrenze von Durchschnittlich. Deshalb hoffe ich, keine wichtigen Infos vergessen zu haben.

Wie kann ich den Grund für den Absturz herausfinden?

Schwierig zu sagen, da die Abstürze meist nur alle 2-3 Tage auftreten ... ich schalte douane jetzt mal ab.
Deshalb wäre ich an einer analytischen Lösung sehr interessiert ...
 
Wenn ein System "abstürzt", bleibt oftmals keine Möglichkeit mehr, etwas auf einen Datenträger zu schreiben. Deshalb bricht dein Log an dieser Stelle auch ganz einfach ab. Sofern es also keine Möglichkeit mehr gibt, mit dem System zu interagieren (kannst du auf ein anderes Terminal wechseln?), muss man Stück für Stück Dinge ausschließen (abgesehen von einigen komplizierteren Methoden).

Klar, macht Sinn ;) - So etwas wie die Minidumps von Windows gibt es nicht?
Das nächste mal werde ich mich mal noch an "Strg+Alt+F1" bzw. Str+Alt+Backspace" probieren.
Was muss ich tun, falls das erfolgreich ist?
 
Stehender Mauszeiger klingt mir eher nach Hardwareproblem. Lass mal einen RAM-Test über Nacht laufen.
