X1 Carbon Gen x Scrollen via Trackpoint schaltet sich ab

Hi,

ich bin neu hier und hoffe ihr könnt mir weiterhelfen, da meine bisherige Recherche mich fast ausschließlich zu Anleitungen für Linux geführt haben.

Ich habe nun seit knapp einer Woche das X1 Carbon der 5ten Generation mit Windows 10 Pro 64bit. Alles neu installiert, Treiber also aktuell.

Mein Problem ist, dass sich nach einer Weile das Scrollen über den Trackpoint + mittlere Maustaste einfach abschaltet, beziehungsweise nicht mehr funktioniert. Die Funktion an sich funktioniert tadellos, bis zu einem gewissen Punkt, ab welchem ich auf diese Weise keinen Bildlauf mehr starten kann. Dann hilft nur ein Neustart. Eine Tastenkombination, welche dies steuern könnte, ist mir weder bekannt, noch bin ich auf eine solche gestoßen, die erklären könnte, warum es plötzlich nicht mehr funktioniert. Da ich oft ohne externe Maus arbeite, ist dies ein Feature, auf welches ich mich eigentlich verlassen möchte.

Kommt darauf an, wie Du die Lenovo-Treiber installiert hast.
Via System Update sind nicht immer die neuesten installiert, da diese nach Erscheinen erst einige Wochen "in the field" getestet werden.

Leider ist die README nicht verfügbar, ein entsprechendes Feedback habe ich schon an Lenovo geschickt.

Die Treiber hatte ich bereits manuell installiert, sind auch laut lenovo Update Check aktuell. Der Bildlauf funktioniert ja auch im Grunde, jedoch eben nicht auf Dauer. Er schaltet nach einer Weile manchmal einfach ab.

Das Update kann ich leider nicht installieren, da mein BIOS scheinbar nicht auf dem "latest level" ist. Das "urgent" BIOS Update der lenovo Seite ist jedoch bereits installiert, das optionale ist bei mir leer, also nicht installierbar. Kein weiteres Update gibt es ja scheinbar nicht, der Check sagt ja ebenfalls, dass alles auf dem neusten Stand ist.

Wenn Du mit "das optionale" das BIOS-Update bootable CD meinst, so ist es auf dem selben Stand wie das unter Windows, welches Du installiert hast.

Solltest Du die Trackpoint-Firmware meinen, so prüfe erst einmal, ob Du das passende ThinkPad-Modell besitzt:

Manual Update

  1. Download TrackPoint Firmware Update Utility ZIP file from Lenovo Web site
     and save it on your desktop.

  2. Extract TrackPoint Firmware Update Utility ZIP file.

  3. Execute "TrackPoint_Firmware_Update_Utility.exe" in the folder,
     then a utility window will open.

  4. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete update.

     Note that the system will be restarted, and shut down at the end of
     the update process.


Unattended Update

  Unattended installation is not supported.

Der erste Link ist bereits installiert, das sind ja die grundlegenden Treiber.

Der zweite Link nennt sich "Firmware Update", dieser lässt sich nicht installieren, da angeblich das BIOS nicht aktuell ist.

Der Maschinentyp stimmt überein, auf diese Weise hatte ich bereits initial alle Treiber geladen.

Hast du das Bios 1.18 drauf?

Die Readme zum Trackpoint Firmware Update Utility nennt ja genau dein Problem.

Ich hab auch BIOS 1.18 drauf und das Trackpoint FIrmware Update sagt trotzdem es sei zu alt

Danke für den Hinweis, konnte jetzt ebenfalls upgraden. Ich hoffe damit löst sich das Problem

Würde mich interessieren, ob das Problem damit tatsächlich behoben ist. Hatte das gleiche Problem. Temporär beheben ließ es sich, indem man den Trackpoint in den Mauseinstellungen zunächst deaktiviert und danach wieder aktiviert hat. Das Notebook wurde deswegen vom Händler innerhalb der 14-tägigen Widerrufsfrist umgetauscht.
