[Gelöst] Error Code 0x80040154 in Mail-App nach Update auf Win10 TH2

Hallo allseits,

ich habe in Win10 seit dem Update auf Treshold2 das "ulkige" Symtom, daß die Mail-App nicht mehr synchronisiert und wenn man versucht die Kontoeinstellungen zu öffnen o.g. Error Code angezeigt wird.

Interessanterweise funktionierte die Mail-App unmittelbar am Tag des TH2 Updates noch einwandfrei. Nach dem Boot am nächsten Morgen nicht mehr.

Ein "richtiges" Runterfahren mit shift+herunterfahren hat keinerlei Veränderungen gebracht.

Googeln nach dem Errorcode hat auch nicht wirklich was brauchbares ausgespuckt, drum mache ich mal hier den Thread auf in der Hoffnung, daß jemand die zündende Idee hat.

Ach ja, das Entfernen und wieder Installieren der Mail-App hat nur den Effekt, daß jetzt halt gleich beim Kontohinzufügen der genannte Errorcode gezeigt wird...

Edit: gerade auch nochmal das Troubleshooting für Windows Store Apps und sfc /scannow ausgeführt. Beides kann keine Probleme finden.

Mach mal eine Powershell als Admin auf.

Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers Microsoft.WindowsComm* | Remove-AppxPackage
rm C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\AppRepository\Microsoft.Windowscomm* -Force -Recurse
rm $env:userprofile\AppData\Local\Comms -Force -Recurse

Kann sein, dass du dir für die Dateien in ProgramData noch Berechtigungen verschaffen musst. Danach sind die Apps und deren Einstellungen weg und du kannst sie sauber neu aus dem Store installieren.

So, gerade den Versuch gestartet - lief soweit auch alles durch, nur funktioniert es leider immer noch nicht. Aber immerhin kriege ich jetzt 'nen anderen Fehlercode beim Versuch ein Konto hizuzufügen und zwar 0x80040b0b.

Noch irgendwelche Einfälle?

So, wie heißt es so schön - hilf Dir selbst, dann hilft Dir Gott und in diesem Sinne habe ich nochmal ein bißchen nachgegraben und bin nun auf diese Webseite mit Lösungsansatz gestoßen und Bingo, das war's dann.

Alles läuft nun wieder so wie es soll. Und hoffentlich sind meine leidigen Sync Probleme damit dann auch endlich mal Vergangenheit

Remove Mail and Calender apps Through Powershell

• At first ensure to login with Microsoft Account on Windows 10 PC. If you have not yet logout and again login with the same.
• Write powershell in the search box at the lowermost part of Cortana.
• Right click on Windows PowerShell at the peak and go for Run as Administrator.administrator-on-windows-powershell-at-the-peak-of-cortana-search.png" alt="run as administrator on windows powershell at the peak of cortana search
• Powershell emerges on the screen. Copy the underneath provided congregation of codes and paste into it.

"get-appxpackage -allusers *communi* remove-appxpackage

In this way, you have removed mail as well as calendar in PowerShell.
Manually Remove Few app files and folders

• Again make certain to login with Microsoft account.
• Access the folders one by one and delete all files and folders having the term communi. (Note: we have assumed you have put your Windows files in C drive)

C:\program data\ microsoft\windows\apprepository
C:\program data\ microsoft\windows\apprepository\packages\
C:\program files\windowsapps\

• After you removed all data having the term communi you require to Sign out of Microsoft Account on your system comprising Windows 10, furthermore login afresh but pay attention, this time with the help of a local account.
• Install Mail and Calendar app from Windows Store and launch. Login with Microsoft account furthermore you can integrate Gmail or iCloud.
• Log out of the local account and return back to the original one.
• Run Mail app on Windows 10 smoothly and enjoy!
