ein neues altes Bios gibt es, Version 2.30-1.08 (02 Apr 2012):

Welche Thinkpad T61 sind mit dem "Conexant audio chip" ausgestattet?

Bei meinem T61 wird mir folgendes angezeigt:

cat /proc/asound/cards
 0 [Intel          ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel
                      HDA Intel at 0xfe020000 irq 48
29 [ThinkPadEC     ]: ThinkPad EC - ThinkPad Console Audio Control
                      ThinkPad Console Audio Control at EC reg 0x30, fw 7KHT24WW-1.08

Welche Vorteile bietet die Bios Version 2.30-1.08 ansonsten?
Hat jemand praktische Erfahrungen?

Hallo,
m. M. n. bedeutet dieses Update keinen Fortschritt, wenn man die Vers. 2.25 installiert hat. Nur für Plattformen mit diesem Conexant Soundchip on board ist es interessant. Vorsicht ist eh geboten, da ein downgrade in frühere Versionen unmöglich ist. Ich habe aus Interesse wg. ständiger ACPI Warnungen mit der Event ID 15 nach einem neuen BIOS gesucht. Jetzt werde ich diese Fehler ignorieren.
