Verbrauchswerte für T500 im Wiki?

Der Stromverbrauch für ein T500 mit GMA4500 ist auf http://thinkwiki.de/T500 mit 8,4 bis 25 Watt angegeben. Auf welcher Basis wurden diese Werte denn ermittelt? Ich liege mit einem WXGA-Display (CCFL), SSD, 8GB Ram, max. Helligkeit unter Linux mit ruhendem Desktop bei 20-22 Watt. Wenn ich die Helligkeit aufs Minimum absenke komme ich auf 14-15 Watt aber nicht darunter.
 
14-15W im Idle ist ziemlich viel und deine Angaben erheblich zu knapp. Welche Linux-Distri in welcher Version ist denn da am Start?

Ich vergaß noch zu erwähnen, die gemessen Werte wurden im Netzteilbetrieb mit einem Energiemessgerät ermittelt (Voltcraft Energy Monitor 4000).

Ist für mich jetzt keine aussagekräftige Methode, da sich sowohl BIOS als auch Linux bei angeschlossenem NT anders verhalten dürften als am Akku – TLP sowieso. Nichtsdestotrotz zeigt auch tlp-stat sehr hohe Werte an:

Ein Grund ist sicherlich, dass RC6-Powersave für den Intelchip deaktiviert ist:

Ich frage mich allerdings, wo Du die Bootoption versteckt hast. Zeig mal bitte

Zuletzt bearbeitet:
Habe die Boot-Option "radeon.dpm=1" jetzt entfernt und dafür "i915.i915_enable_rc6=1 i915.i915_enable_fbc=1 i915.lvds_downclock=1" eingefügt. Erstere Optionen lassen sich laut tlp-stat nicht aktivieren, die letzte schon. Der Verbrauch ist etwas runter gegangen, allerdings habe ich gelegentlich auch dieses Bildschirmflackern das im Zusammenhang mit lvds_downclock erwähnt wird.

Das per Default inaktive RC6 ist wohl so bei dieser Grafikgeneration und neueren Kerneln, bei meinem X200 sieht es auch so aus. Bei den Bootoptionen musst Du die (ab 3.16) geänderte Notation ohne i915_ verwenden, also i915.enable_rc6 und i915.enable_fbc. lvds_downclock bringt sowieso nur minimalste Gewinne.

Ich denke eher, hier kann irgendwas mit der Akku-Hardware – die den Verbrauch mißt – nicht stimmen. Bei 17W Leistungsaufnahme müsste die Maschine viel wärmer werden und der Lüfter kräftig blasen. Beides ist bei dir nicht der Fall:

Danke, rc6 geht damit zwar immer noch nicht aber jetzt ist zumindestens fbc aktiviert.

Ich messe im Netzbetrieb ja gleichzeit noch mit einem Energiemessgerät und da habe ich bei voller Helligkeit ca. 23 W. Die 7 W werden dann Verluste im Netzteil sein.
 
Wie gesagt: 17W Leistung verschwinden nicht einfach, sondern werden zwingend in Wärme umgesetzt. Dein Lüfter steht aber und die CPU ist bei idlemässigen 40°C.

@joshua666: RC6 macht keinen solchen Unterschied, wenn überhaupt bei dieser Hardwaregeneration. Der von dir angeführte Thread ist zwei Jahre alt und dass ein per Default inaktives RC6 angezeigt wird, gab es in den damaligen Kerneln nicht. Dürfte also Absicht sein bei den neueren Kerneln – vermutlich um zu signalisieren, dass RC6 auf der Hardware nicht möglich ist.

Teste mal mit einem anderen Akku.

@Tao: wenn es per (nun korrekter) Bootoption schon nicht klappt, dann klappt es auch nicht per Moduloption.

Habe jetzt auch mit einem anderen Akku getestet und das Ergebnis ist gleich.
 
Switchable graphics hat das Gerät nicht. Davon abgesehen ist die Leistungsaufnahme mit ATI-Grafik noch höher, bei einem R500 habe ich mit dem Energiemessgerät um die 32 W im Leerlauf gemessen.
 
Also ich kam im Idle zumindest näher an 10W ran (T500 switchedGrafik (Intel-ONLY), 6GB RAM, 180GB Intel SSD) im Netzteilbetrieb ohne Akku unter Win7.
Drunter kam ich aber auch nicht.
Im Akkubetrieb mit einem 6c der noch was mit 40Wh hat kann man aber durchaus mal 4 Stunden Akkulaufzeit angezeigt bekommen im Idle.

Vor ner Weile habe ich die Atikarte mal aktiviert und da ging die angezeigte Laufzeit nochmal deutlich nach unten, da werden aus 4 Stunden Akku nur noch 2-2,5h im Idle.
