This is a Mandatory hard disk drive (HDD) firmware update. This update will fix early reliability issues in some drives.
This firmware applies to the following IBM systems with 60GB hard disk drives:
- ThinkPad R50, R50p
- ThinkPad T41, T41p
Only one file is needed to update the firmware. Users with Microsoft Windows can download and apply the non-diskette release.
